I had the best experience meeting you, and appreciate your expertise and enthusiasm for your shop and BOOKS! I am the customer who purchased several wonderful books for my granddaughter yesterday and was inspired to view your website. What a magnificent job in creating such clever, colorful, original and personal web pages. It was fun to learn that you are from Summit, N.J. as my brother and his family have lived in New Providence for many yrs. so I am most familiar with the area. I so look forward to bringing my daughter and granddaughter to your shop someday when they visit me on the Cape. They love books too! My daughter was a librarian in Kennebunk, Maine until she was forced to leave the job due to her husband's medical school moves. She was in charge of the high school students' book club and also researched and arranged for New England authors to appear and speak for the community events. Subject: Zoe the Book Fairy !!
I don’t have much time since our final deadline is Monday and a more formal “thank you” will follow but I just had to share the kids’ reaction to your wonderful package. I had the packages on the kitchen table this morning (since I got home too late last night to excite them) and you would think that “Zoe, The Book Fairy” had stopped by our house. Ava loves the fairies series and the big hit was the Princess guide. She was studying princess skills all morning. Aiden saw the package and asked “Is today my birthday?” He loves everything! Thanks for making two kids (who have been missing their overworked mom the past couple of weeks) very happy! |

Subject: Excellent book recommendations
I have just today finished What The Moon Saw and decided to write to you about it. It was another good book, and I read it during every spare moment I had (although the past week was very busy for me, I took all the possible time I had to read it). I really like the stories plot and all of the events in it. It again was a big change from the younger (or less mature) books that I have read previously, which made it a lot more enjoyable. (See I am used to reading books that are bought for both my younger sister and me, but the books my parents buy from you are solely for me, so they contain older material which I can relate to). Another thing that I liked about this book was how it used some Spanish words. In my school I take Spanish, so along with being able to practice my skills at reading, I could also practice my skills with talking Spanish. (and I have to say that after reading this book I have learned numerous new Spanish words which I think I will later on in my life will help me understand/ be able to speak the language more). I wanted to tell you that I e-mailed Susan Willaiams (the author of Wind Rider) and told her about how much I enjoyed reading her book. She gave me several websites that I should go on to write reviews for books, and I told her that I would. She also gave me her website name and told me to check it out. Before I end this e-mail I would like to tell you that my mom said that we might be going to Martha's Vineyard for February vacation, and she said that if she does decide to take us, that she will take me to your book store so I can meet you! Oh, and one last thing. I would like to thank you for the cocker spaniel stuffed animal you gave me....it is adorable! P.S. Thanks for all of your help and time! |

My family and I visited Martha's Vineyard last week, and were happy to find your wonderful book shop! My Granny and Mom came in to find some new books for me, and you were so helpful in helping us all pick out some books. My Dad read me a bunch of books while we were in your shop, and Mom got me the book you said was your favorite for Hallowe'en - the one about Frank the monster who liked to dance. It scares me a little, but Mom thinks I will really like it when I'm a little older. We've read 'The Giving Tree', 'The Little Engine That Could', and 'I am not sleepy and I will not go to bed' books over and over since we got them. I love all of them! Subject: The Secret Order Of The Gumm Street Girls
I am writing to tell you how I liked the book, The Secret Order Of The Gumm Street Girls. Well, I just finished the book and if i had to explain it in two words, the two words would be WOW and AMAZING!!!!!! This book was so good. It is the best book I have ever read!!! It is so magical and I could picture the scenes in my head!! I loved this book not only because it was so magical but also because it had things from The Wizard Of Oz in it!!!!!! I love The Wizard Of Oz. Having that in it made it more enjoyable for me, but even if someone doesn't like The Wizard Of Oz, you will still get pulled back into reading it. It is really hard to get away from this book because it is so good!!!!! I ended up reading more than 100 pages a day. When you are reading this book you look at it and think it is going to take you forever, but you keep reading it and have it done in no time!!!! When you are reading it you say to yourself, "Just one more chapter," but by the time you stopped you read 10 chapters past the chapter you said you were going to stop at. I have no bad comments about this book. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to sit down and read an excellent book !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best book ever and I loved it !!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for telling me about The Secret Order Of The Gumm Street Girls. |
